Who needs an Itinerant Merchant License in Ammon?
Anyone selling a product or a service door to door or from a stand, vehicle, tent, trailer, rack or other shelter or structure not permanently affixed to real property needs an Itinerant Merchant License. Exceptions to door to door sales licensing include any student group or religious, philanthropic or charitable organization exempt from taxation under 26 U.S.C. Section 501 and which has a local charter or sponsor located in the City.
Why do I need an Itinerant Merchant License?
An Itinerant Merchant License is required to help ensure the safety of our citizens in Ammon. It is in the best interest of our residents for the City to know who is selling in Ammon.
It also provides protection for the seller. With the Itinerant Merchant License, they are able to assure their clients that they have been checked out by the City and have met the requirements for a license.
