Parks

Ken Knoch is the City of Ammon's Parks Director. He maintains the following professional certifications: arborist, landscape designer, professional applicator, water auditing, and master gardener. He is also a member of the Eastern Idaho Weed Association.

The CIty of Ammon provides the following public parks, for your enjoyment:

  • Eagles Homestead Park. This park features a shelter, a new ¾ mile walking path, and a tot lot.
  • McCowin Park. This park features a shelter, walking path, public pool, tennis courts, basketball hoops, soccer fields, and baseball diamonds.
  • Peterson Park. This park features a shelter, walking path, baseball diamonds and sledding hills.
  • Target Park. This park features a walking path which runs behind the Ammon Town Center shopping complex and has a walking bridge which connects with the Hillview subdivision.

  • Lions Park. This park features a baseball diamond, picnic shelter and playground equipment.
  • Tiebreaker Park. This park is located on Backhand behind Tiebreaker Elementary school and features a picnic shelter and playground equipment.
  • Woodland Hills Park. Located in the Woodland Hills subdivision, adjacent to Ammon Road and just south of Township Road, the park encompasses approximately 11 acres.
